โ“ Common questions

Everything you want to know about Mochi.

Straight answers. No fluff. If something's missing, reach out and we'll add it.

๐Ÿ”’ Privacy & security
Yes, you get your own isolated agent instance on Google Cloud. Model traffic goes to whichever AI provider you've chosen.
Google Cloud is one of the most rigorously secured infrastructure platforms in the world โ€” used by the NHS, major banks, and most large enterprises. Your Mochi instance runs on the same infrastructure. Beyond that, each instance is isolated at the container level. We also apply automatic security patches, so your instance stays up to date without you having to do anything.
Your agent stays active until the end of your billing period. After that, your instance is deleted from Google Cloud โ€” including all stored memory, connected account tokens, and conversation history. We don't retain any of it. If you want to export anything before you cancel, reach out and we'll help you do that.
โš™๏ธ Setup & technical
None at all. No Docker, no terminal, no SSH, no server configuration. If you can sign up for Netflix and connect an app to your Google account, you can set up Mochi. We've specifically built it for people who want a powerful private AI โ€” not people who want to learn DevOps.
We've clocked it. Under 10 minutes, every time. The steps are: sign up (~1 min), choose your AI model and add your API key (~2 min), connect your messaging app and other tools (~5 min), give your agent a name and personality (~2 min). Your agent is live and running before you finish your coffee.
No โ€” this is one of our core differentiators. Mochi works with OpenClaw or any other agent infrastructure. You're not locked into any particular framework. If you want to switch infrastructure as better options emerge (and they will), you can do so without rebuilding anything.
Claude (Anthropic), OpenAI (OpenAI), Gemini (Google), Llama (Meta), Mistral, and more. You bring your own API key from whichever provider you prefer. Switch models at any time โ€” different agents in your team can even use different models. We never lock you to one provider.
WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack, Discord, and Microsoft Teams. Most users choose Telegram or WhatsApp as their primary channel โ€” Mochi lives inside the app as a contact, and you simply message it to give instructions, ask questions, or get updates. Voice notes work too.
Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, HubSpot, Notion, Monday.com, and any service with an API or webhook. You can also extend Mochi using MCP (Model Context Protocol) to connect custom tools as your needs grow.
Yes โ€” that's the whole point. Your Mochi instance runs on Google Cloud infrastructure, completely independent of any device you own. It runs 24/7, handles scheduled tasks at 3am, sends you a morning briefing before you wake up, and keeps working while you're asleep, travelling, or in meetings.
๐Ÿก Agents & features
Yes โ€” and this is one of the things that makes Mochi genuinely different. You can build a whole team: a personal companion that manages your calendar and inbox, a finance agent that tracks your spending and savings, a builder agent that ships code and content. Each one has its own name, personality, and specialisation. Each one lives in Telegram as a separate contact. The parent Mochi agent coordinates them all โ€” you send one message, it routes to the right specialist.
Mochi is your parent agent โ€” think of it as your chief of staff. It handles general tasks directly and coordinates everything else. Sub-agents are specialists you create underneath it โ€” each with a defined role, personality, and set of connected tools. Mochi knows what each sub-agent does and automatically delegates to the right one when you ask for something. You can message Mochi directly for anything, or message a sub-agent directly when you know exactly what you need.
Scheduled tasks are automations that run at a set time โ€” every morning at 7am, every Monday at 9am, the first of each month. You set them up once in plain language ("every morning, send me a summary of my emails, my meetings for the day, and the weather") and Mochi runs them forever without being asked. Proactive briefings are a specific type of scheduled task โ€” a daily digest delivered to your WhatsApp or Telegram each morning before you start work.
Absolutely โ€” the examples on our site (Companion, Wealth, Foundry) are just agents we built for ourselves to show you what's possible. You can build anything: a fitness coach that tracks your workouts, a travel planner that monitors flight prices, a cooking agent that plans weekly meals, a work research bot that briefs you on competitors. If you can describe what you want in plain language, Mochi can be configured to do it.
AI agents can and do make mistakes โ€” we'd rather be honest about this than oversell. For high-stakes actions (sending emails, making purchases, deleting files), Mochi is configured by default to ask for confirmation before acting. You can adjust how much autonomy each agent has. We also log all agent actions so you can review what was done and correct anything that went wrong.
๐Ÿ’ณ Pricing & billing
Everything. Your own private Google Cloud instance, support for OpenClaw or any agent infrastructure, connections to WhatsApp/Telegram/Gmail/Slack and all other integrations, multiple agents with unique personalities, voice interaction, scheduled tasks, proactive briefings, automatic updates, and 24/7 uptime monitoring. No add-ons, no feature tiers, no usage caps on the platform itself.
Yes โ€” you bring your own API key from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or whichever provider you choose, and you pay them directly for model usage. This is actually better for you: you get full transparency on AI costs, you're not paying a markup, and you can switch models whenever you want. Typical AI usage for a personal agent runs ยฃ5โ€“20/month depending on how active your agent is.
Yes. No contracts, no minimum terms, no cancellation fees. Cancel from your account dashboard anytime. Your agent stays live until the end of your current billing period.
All major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) via Stripe. Billing is monthly or annual. We don't currently accept PayPal or crypto, but if you need an alternative payment method for a business plan, reach out and we'll work something out.
